These are the videos from the first online interactive video seminar, based on our Introduction to Jyotish online course. Observing the correlation between heavenly and human time patterns, and using it to predict what is likely to happen is the basic premise and practical method of astrology. Therefore astrology is a system for making educated guesses about probable patterns in the behavior of individuals and groups of human beings, based on the patterns and timing of the movements of the planets in the skies.

Every Sunday at 6:30 PM India Standard Time, the Esoteric Teaching community holds an online Satsang, including a high-quality streaming audio and video conference and live chat to interface with the online audience. The program includes kirtan and an insightful talk, followed by a lively question-answer session with the participants. Each Satsang is recorded on video, and gradually the students are making transcriptions of each session. These videos are long—from over an hour to nearly three hours. These videos and transcriptions are from the Ayurveda: Healing the Soul Seminar, given in Mexico City in July 2007. Our main point is that simply treating the bodily symptoms, without also treating the soul by giving transcendental knowledge, is a waste of time. This is because the actual cause of disease is the reactions to sinful activities carried out by the soul in ignorance of his real nature.

These are the videos and transcriptions from our seminars in San Diego, USA on 12 & 13 January 2008. The first day (Parts 1-3) deals with the upcoming ontological crisis of 2012, and the second day covers the ontological background of Jyotish (Vedic Astrology), Vedic Cosmology and culiminates in a deep discussion about transcendence and pure love of God.

Five thousand years ago, Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, descended from the spiritual world and appeared in Vṛndāvana, India. Naturally an occasion of great joy for His devotees, His Appearance Day, Janmāṣṭamī, was celebrated with opulence and festivities. The original Janmāṣṭamī took place in Vṛndāvana at the house of Kṛṣṇa's foster father, Nanda Mahārāja. Learned brāhmaṇas and astrologers led the festivities, and all the town's residents joined in the singing, dancing, and feasting. Each year since then Lord Kṛṣṇa's devotees have marked the auspicious event in the same way.

Vyāsa-pūjā, celebrates the Appearance Day of the Spiritual Master. According to all the revealed Vedic scriptures, one should honour the Spiritual Master as much as one honours the Supreme Lord because he is aconfidential representative of the Lord. The Appearance Day of our Spiritual Master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, is the day after Janmāṣṭamī. Thus the devotees observe Janmāṣṭamī, as Vedic scriptures enjoin, by fasting all day and hearing and chanting Lord Kṛṣṇa's glories; then on the next day, Vyāsa-pūjā, the devotees glorify the spiritual master by offering prayers, flowers and ceremonies in his honour, and then an opulent feast. Since the service of the Spiritual Master is the life and soul of a sincere disciple, all the members of the Esoteric teaching observe Vyāsa-pūjā with great devotion .
