Esoteric Teaching Introductory SeminarThe Vedic Science of Consciousnessby David Bruce HughesWarningThe issues explored in this Seminar are extremely profound. The presentation covers an immense range of material in a very short time. The point of view is often located in higher spiritual dimensions. The material being presented may challenge your preconceived ideas and stretch your personal spiritual and intellectual limitations. At times you may experience strong emotional reactions to the material. Some participants may feel like the information in the workshop makes no sense, or may experience forgetfulness, short-term memory loss, or loss of comprehension of material immediately after it is presented. You may also feel tired, sleepy, yawing, distracted, dreamy, dizzy, spinny, lightheaded, intoxicated, introverted, fearful, panicky, paranoid, angry, belligerent or rebellious. You may have a strong irrational urge to disrupt or escape from the Seminar. Some participants may irrationally desire to project their negative emotional reactions to the material on the presenter or staff. All these symptoms have one and the same cause: you have encountered a misunderstood term or symbol and gone past it without getting it properly defined. Much of the terminology used in the Seminar is extremely specialized, scientific or technical. The most important of these terms are in the Sanskrit language and may have no direct English equivalent. Some terms used in the workshop are so laden with significance that thousands of lines of esoteric Sanskrit codes and years of esoteric study are required to define and understand them completely. You are strongly encouraged to observe these symptoms and note down your misunderstood terms for later clarification. Please request assistance to define esoteric spiritual terminology, Sanskrit words and other technical terms used in the Seminar immediately after viewing the video. Failure to do so may make your experience of the Seminar, and the value you receive from it, less than optimal. It is very important that you understand the real cause of these symptoms, take full responsibility for their reactions and deal with them appropriately. It is not acceptable to disrupt the sacred space of the Seminar in any way. The author, presenters and hosts of the Seminar are not responsible for these symptoms, or the consequences of failing to define your misunderstood terminology. You are fully responsible for observing when you feel any of the symptoms above, and recording any technical terms that you need to clear up. The presenter or assistant is trained to handle these symptoms without disruption to the Seminar. Please request clarification during the regular question-and-answer periods. Please notify the staff during the break if you continue to experience any of the symptoms of misunderstood terminology. |
